The journal aims to foster critical reflection on current paradigms and emerging trends in the biological sciences from disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary perspectives. Its main areas of interest include biological sciences (particularly experimental biology and biomedicine), environmental sciences, veterinary medicine, animal science, aquaculture and fisheries, and agriculture. Research addressing socioeconomic aspects related to agricultural production systems is also welcome.</p> <p><strong><em>Revista Bio Ciencias</em></strong> originated as a project of the Postgraduate Program in Biological and Agricultural Sciences at the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit. Manuscript submissions are accepted year-round under a continuous publication system. The journal publishes the following article types: <strong>original research articles</strong>, <strong>review articles</strong> (by invitation only), <strong>short articles</strong>, <strong>case reports</strong>, <strong>technical reports</strong>, <strong>editorials</strong>, <strong>news</strong>, and <strong>letters to the editor</strong>.</p> <p><strong><em>Revista</em></strong><strong> <em>Bio Ciencias </em></strong>is included in the following indexes: <strong>Mexican Science and Technology Journal Classification System (CONAHCYT index)</strong>, <strong>Web of Science (Emerging Sources), SciELO, DOAJ, Latindex, Biblat (Periodica), and Imbiomed. </strong></p> <p><strong><em>Revista Bio Ciencias</em></strong> is an Open Access journal and does not charge article processing charges (APCs) or publication fees. Manuscripts may be submitted in either Spanish or English. <strong>Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication</strong>, authors must provide the final version in both languages (Spanish and English) or request the journal’s translation support service.</p> <p>Ethical Principles: <strong><em>Revista Bio Ciencias</em></strong> accepts manuscripts under the assumption of the authors’ academic integrity; therefore, all published information is the sole responsibility of the authors. Since 2017, the journal has used the iThenticate® software for plagiarism detection and prevention.
