Resumen

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar la actividad antagonista de filtrados de Bacillus subtilis contra agentes causales de la marchitez en chile. La producción de sideróforos en filtrados se realizó mediante ensayo en agar Cromo Azurol S y prueba de tetrazolio (tipo hidroxamato). Se realizaron ensayos in vitro para evaluar la inhibición contra Fusarium oxysporum, Pythium aphanidermatum, Rhizoctonia solani. Se evaluaron la incidencia, severidad y parámetros morfométricos de la enfermedad en plantas bajo un diseño de bloques completos al azar en invernadero. Los filtrados fueron positivos para sideróforos, incluyendo los del tipo hidroxamato, e inhibieron el 100 % del crecimiento de F. oxysporum y R. solani a concentraciones del 50 % y 12.5 % respectivamente, mientras que para P. aphanidermatum mostraron una inhibición del 34.85 % a una concentración del 50 %. Se observó un daño celular en F. oxysporum y R. solani a concentraciones entre 5.1 % y 4.5 % respectivamente, observando un efecto nulo para P. aphanidermatum. En invernadero, los filtrados redujeron significativamente la incidencia y severidad de la enfermedad en plantas inoculadas por F. oxysporum y R. solani. El uso de los filtrados producidos por B. subtilis representa una alternativa viable para el control de la marchitez en chile causada por estos fitopatógenos.
