Resumen

Los estudios de macrohongos han cobrado importancia para la comunidad científica en las áreas biomédica, nutricional y agrícola, en esta última como una alternativa para prevenir enfermedades en plantas. Por lo anterior, el objetivo de esta investigación fue evaluar el potencial antifúngico, antibacteriano y la capacidad antioxidante de extractos crudos del hongo comestible Tricholoma mesoamericanum a través de bioensayos in vitro. Los extractos se evaluaron mediante los métodos del alimento envenenado y difusión en discos, así como contra tres radicales libres, y se determinó el contenido de fenoles totales mediante el método Folin-Ciocalteu. Los tres extractos de T. mesoamericanum presentaron bajos porcentajes de inhibición del crecimiento micelial (≤50 %) contra los hongos fitopatógenos, sin embargo, el extracto de acetato de etilo tuvo una inhibición moderada (<20 a 12 mm) contra la bacteria Clavibacter michiganensis. Por otro lado, el extracto de la mezcla cloroformo-metanol presentó capacidad antioxidante al estabilizar al radical ABTS+ (158.6 ± 0.11 µmol TE/mg) este mismo extracto presentó la mayor cantidad de fenoles totales (35.45 ± 4.49 GAE/mg). El hongo comestible T. mesoamericanum representa un recurso importante para la investigación nutracéutica, farmacéutica y agrícola, al presentar bioactividad en las evaluaciones in vitro realizadas en esta investigación.
