The Revista Bio Ciencias announces the opening of the special issue “Science, Innovation and Sustainability: Frontiers of Fruit Growing in Mexico”, coordinated by members of the Academic Group of Agricultural Parasitology of the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit.

This special issue aims to bring together scientific contributions from national and international researchers dedicated to the generation, application, and transfer of knowledge on topics related to fruit growing, from scientific, technological, productive, environmental, and innovation-based approaches.

Objective of the special issue

To publish original contributions that strengthen scientific and technological knowledge on fruit growing in Mexico, promoting academic exchange among specialists, institutions, research groups, and sectors linked to the production, plant health, innovation, and sustainability of fruit-growing systems.

Topics of interest

Manuscripts will be accepted on topics including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Fruit crop production and management.
  • Plant health and pest control.
  • Agricultural parasitology applied to fruit growing.
  • Technological innovation in fruit-growing systems.
  • Sustainability in fruit production.
  • Knowledge transfer and agricultural development.
  • Quality, postharvest, and safety of fruit products.
  • Studies related to fruit crops of economic, social, or environmental importance in Mexico.

Types of contribution

Contributions may be submitted under the modalities accepted by the journal:

  • Original scientific articles

All manuscripts will undergo the editorial and peer-review process established by the Revista Bio Ciencias. Accepted contributions will be published as part of this special issue.
