Abstract
Continuing with the objective of Revista Bio Ciencias of the Universidad Autonoma de Nayarit, which is to issue quality scientific information at a local and international level, in this number we have published eight scientific articles; documents regarding diverse topics that are by far very important in the biological and agricultural sciences. In this time, authors from two Cuban institutions, in collaboration with local researchers, go through the topic of potencial use of agroindustrial subproducts for the feeding of sweet-water fishes, which corresponds to a matter with impact in both the economical and ecological in different regions where aquaculture has been developing along with the agricultural industry. In the second document, reserachers from the Universidad of Cd. Juarez Chihuaha Mexico, perform an analysis of the current bibliography on methods to determine the diet of deers, the latter with the objective of evaluate this important factor in the management of the populations of cervids. On the other hand, researchers from the Colegio de Posgraduados ad the Universidad de Occidente de Sinaloa present the characterization and functionality of greenhouses located in the municipality of Chignahuapan, Puebla, Mexico. Thus they go through one of the main srtategies of protected agriculture in the country, with the objective of enhancing the perfomance of the culture systems. One of the most important cultivations of Argentna is the asparagus. Regarding this topic, reserchers from the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires argue over two iniciation systems for culture of Asparagus officinalis, coming to the conclusion that the plantation framework and culture density are important factors for the productivity of this plant. Researchers from the Instituo Tecnologico de Mazatlan, Sinaloa, state in two articles the harmlesness of white shrimp captured in estuary of the South of Sinaloa and North of Nayarit and trhough RCP techniques disregard the presence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in this crustaceous. On the other side, they propose and extraction method and characterization of protein of the exoskeleton of shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), the latter with the objective of proposing new food sources. In the area of toxinology, researchers from the Universidad Autonoma of Cd. Juarez, perform a comparative analysis of the hemolitic activity of poison in different species of snakes (Crotalus spp). This way, and even though there were no differences found in the protein composition of the samples, differences in the hemolitic potential of them were observed, suggesting that the feeding habits and geographical localization of snakes, among other factors, influence in the toxic properties of venom. Finally, researchers from the Universidad Autonoma de Nayarit issue a contribution of the avifauna of the Sierra de Vallejo, located at the South of Nayarit and North of Jalisco. A prioritary area due to the antropogenic pressure that has been made in this region during the last years. This way, Revista Bio Ciencias closes volume 2 of this publication, hoping that every contribution is of great use and reference for the scientific-academic personnel of each discipline related with the biologic sciences.Revista Bio Ciencias by Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Unported License.
